With Dr. Taylor’s advice, we applied a FormaHoof performance mold to the front feet and the horse had instant relief. He went from not being able to walk down a concrete aisle barefoot to cruising and happy almost instantly after the first application. After a total of four FormaHoof applications this horse, who had previously struggled to walk barefoot on most terrain, now moves with ease everywhere in his environment.
Throughout this process, the FormaHoof staff were easily accessible for messaging and answered any questions I had before, during, and after application. They even offered to video chat during my first application to answer any questions I had in real time. This assistance gave me the confidence to move forward.
After this successful application, I reached out to my teacher, Ida Hammer, and my mentor, Jeannie Wright, about the success. We wanted to continue learning and introduce FormaHoof to our peers, so several graduates of Ida’s Applied Whole Horse Hoof Care decided to travel to Alabama and learn more about the product’s application with different pathologies from Dr. Taylor. We spent two days applying and radiographing a variety of different cases, all of which had positive changes from FormaHoof. The hands’ on approach was helpful in building mine and my colleagues’ confidence in applying FormaHoof correctly and in a variety of situations. I had seen so many positive changes in so many different cases that Jeannie Wright (Wright Hoof Care) and I decided to team up and are now offering FormaHoof to clients in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. So many horses’ lives have changed for the better because of FormaHoof and we all look forward to helping many more!
